Changing time on carts sends MULTIPLE notifications out

Boutique changed time expiry from 100 hrs down to 1 to get the carts to dump and it sent out reminders for each cart multiple times even thought they had only a single product

My customers are annoyed at this happening and I feel there needs to be a fixed...and their should be a reminder for the whole cart not sending out a reminder for each item...if someone has 100 pieces in their cart you are sending out 100 reminders to that person when their could be a whole cart reminder instead....
