When creating a post through CommentSold, customers are being warned that their post is in sales format. Even after removing all triggers, the posts are still going through in sales format.
We are also seeing an increase in posts made directly through Facebook posting in sales format.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to provide a quick update regarding the uptick in posts being marked as sales posts by Facebook. It appears that Facebook has made some changes to their algorithms which detect sales post. Unfortunately, we are not able to know exactly what triggers these posts, and we have also seen it vary from shop to shop.
With that being said, here are some of our best practices for avoiding your posts going into Sales Format:
- Make your posts directly on Facebook instead of through CommentSold. With auto-linking, you will not have to add any additional steps to your process; you will just be moving it from CommentSold to Facebook. https://learn.commentsold.com/auto-linking
Fun Fact: We recommend auto-linking over scheduling through CommentSold in most cases because we have seen that posts made directly on Facebook (especially for groups/pages with <20k members/likes) get higher engagement!
- If you choose to continue scheduling through CommentSold, CommentSold recommends omitting both dollar signs ($$) and decimal points (.) in order to reduce the likelihood of triggering a Facebook Sales Post. We have seen some shops have success with using the dollar sign emoji!
