What is the shop or customer experiencing? Customer won an item in a live auction, however the order was created twice

What is the expected behavior? Customer order should not get created twice when customer try to place only one order.

What error messages are there? No error message, it's just that the order was created twice on its own.

Did you replicate? Unable to replicate as this happened on live auction.

What settings were checked? Check and confirm if two separate order was created and charged to the customer.

Provide examples, sku, order #, customer names, and screenshots where possible. Order IDs- 174137 and 174136.
