Inventory Reverting to 0 Due to Duplicate Deleted Variant Conflict

What is the shop or customer experiencing: When the shop attempts to add inventory to an active product variant, the quantity immediately reverts back to 0. This occurs because an identical duplicate variant exists under the "Deleted Variants" section, and the system erroneously routes the inventory updates to the deleted variant instead of the active one. Additionally, selecting one variant in the dashboard UI automatically checks/selects the second duplicate variant.
What is the expected behavior: Updating the inventory for an active variant should accurately update only that active variant's stock quantity, without affecting deleted variants or syncing duplicate values across restored and new variants.
What error messages are there: N/A
Did you replicate: Yes, I successfully replicated this bug on my test account:
- When the deleted variant is restored, both the original "deleted" variant and the newly created variant appear in the product's variant section.
- If you try to update the inventory on the new variant, it overrides and mirrors the quantity across both variants.
What settings were checked: Product Variants, Inventory Management, and Deleted Variants history.
