Instagram Shopping: Need to be able to verify domain to set up.

Shops would like to be able to integrate with Instagram Shopping.
Multiple shops are reporting that they lost the ability to do Instagram tagging and links in their Instagram stories because of Instagram website domain verification if they do not have a custom domain with CS. They cannot add their CS catalog to their shopping/product catalog due to the verification.

we are having this issue. we do not want to pay for a custom domain at this time but no matter where i put the meta code in the homepage, it cant verify our website. i can see my products listed on instagram but it wont let me tag unless we verify our domain. i even attempted to revert to the old website and place it in the coding section but it still didnt work.

This should be resolved with the option to use custom domains w/ CS now. If not we will need to open a new ticket

Melissa Warner : I was told about a month ago that we still had to verify our comment sold website link even though our go daddy link was verified. They would not let us move further until we could verify our comment sold website as well. I spoke with someone on the phone with Facebook because I was furious jumping through hoops for it still not work.

Agreed. We just figured out how to tag products in Instagram shopping and now it's going away again:-( Makes me wonder if I should go back to adding items to my Weebly store??

You are providing a bit of false advertising telling people if they sign up with CommentSold they are use it with Instagram, but they can not. Please see attached and you may want to remove this since it’s not offered.
