Restore Search Result Sorting (Newest to Oldest) and Deprioritize Out-of-Stock Items

Confirm there are not already settings or features that do what the shop is asking for.
There are currently no existing settings or features in the new search system that allow automatic sorting by creation/publish date (new to old) while simultaneously deprioritizing waitlisted/out-of-stock items to the final pages.
What does the shop want the product to do?
- Allow shops to configure default search result sorting (e.g., Newest to Oldest).
2.Add an automatic rule or toggle to push waitlisted and out-of-stock products to the end of search result pages.
Why/how would it improve sales or efficiency?
- Drives Higher Conversions: Presenting ready-to-buy (in-stock) products first reduces bounce rates and converts high-intent searches into immediate sales.
- Improves User Experience (UX): Shoppers don't have to wade through waitlisted or irrelevant items to find active inventory.
- Reduces Support Overhead: Decreases customer inquiries about out-of-stock/waitlisted items showing up prominently in search.
