I would love to have the carts all expire on a set day and time. Whenever I choose. The carts would just expire at that time.

My invoices are due Saturday at midnight and carts should expire at that time. I don’t see any difference if carts expired after “x” amount of hours.

Id love day and time

For the first version of this feature, it sounds like we'd have a few options when setting the expiration rules for when a shopper adds something to their cart:
- expire after a specific amount of time from being added to the shopping cart (what we have now)
- expire at a specific date and time every week
- expire at a specific date and time
Does that cover what you are looking for with this feature? If you choose a specific date and time, what do you want it to do after that time passes? Should it then use the normal expiration after a specific amount of time?

Michael Spiceland: I would love for you to be able to extend a specific individual’s cart (or override the cart expiration). I have many that I override for 24 hours due to pay day being on Friday and hate for them to have to get 100 cart expiration notifications :-)

Michael Spiceland: Those options would definitely cover the variety of ways my shops would use this feature. If set for a specific date and time, if not reset to a new date and time, then the default could be the normal expiration. Most of my shops that would use specific date/time do this weekly on a set day/time so their customers know, if it's not paid by Fri. @5pm (for example) their cart would be dumped.

Michael Spiceland: I want to be able to choose a specific date and time....no matter when the customer adds it to their cart.
For instance, I want to be able to say Friday, November 12 at midnight carts expire. If they cart something on Monday or Thursday doesn’t matter as both carts would still expire on Friday November 12 at midnight.

Michael Spiceland: I would love to set it to expire on a certain date and time. Like Saturday at 10am every week.

Michael Spiceland: a specific date and time, Saturday @ midnight every week ect. New customers get so confused with the '160 hour' thing when it's Thursday. They think they have all this time to pay, when in reality, they have 2 days. :)

Michael Spiceland: Give us the ability to do date and time every week. When the carts expire dump everything into the expired list.

Michael Spiceland: I'd like to have it expire on a specific day and time each week with the option of setting a new date and time for each customer as some customers require a little more time to pay.

Michael Spiceland: After the Date and Time, it should provide some kind of notice/warning to us so that we can extend or let the items expire (I would say yes, then use the "normal expiration" that you set up originally in the system. I imagine you will also have it notify the customer the card is about to expire as it does now.
Beth Gamble Register
Michael Spiceland: yes! Expire on a certain date/time - at that point empty their cart! This will help all of your newly acquired kids smocking businesses who run pre-orders and close them on a certain date and time!

Once set to expire on a date it would be great to have email reminders that include the date

Shopping Cart: Payment due on a particular day (like Friday Pay Day) after they buy all week

I have some ladies that shop all week and want to pay on Friday Pay Day. I'd love to be able to have a more dynamic payment due/reminder by customer groupings. Some I'd make pay every 48 hours while my top spenders had until Friday to pay for all the purchases over the course of the week.

Specific Day Invoicing Due

I would love if rather than setting a certain about of hours to pay an invoice if we could do a specific day/time. Before using CommentSold my customers were invoiced weekly & that is what they are used to. Most of them get paid on Fridays so would shop all week then pay all at once so they would only have 1 package sent per week. For example: All invoices must be paid by Friday @ 8pm est & there would be a countdown until that specific day. Then if they shopped on Saturday or Sunday items would go into their cart for next week and the timer would start a countdown to the next Friday @ 8pm. Obviously, they could still check out anytime they want or as many times during the week.
