Confirm there are not already settings or features that do what the shop is asking for.
While shops can block users and delete comments natively on Facebook, there is currently no setting or moderation tool inside the CS dashboard that allows a shop to manually delete a comment from the CS website/app live feed once it has synced. Additionally, the system does not appear to auto-sync comment deletions from Facebook to the CS web/app platforms.
What does the shop want the product to do?
- Immediate need: The shop is requesting that our backend engineering team manually scrub the specific vulgar comments from this live feed on their CS website and app.
- Product feature need: The shop needs a chat moderation tool that allows them to easily hide or delete inappropriate comments directly from the CS web/app live feeds themselves. Alternatively, the system should automatically recognize when a comment is deleted on Facebook and pull it down from the CS platforms simultaneously.
Why/how would it improve sales or efficiency?
Leaving vulgar, harassing, or spam comments visible on the app and website creates an unsafe and unprofessional shopping environment. This severely damages the shop's brand reputation and can actively drive away uncomfortable customers, resulting in lost sales. Giving shops the ability to quickly moderate their own web/app chat feeds (or syncing deletions automatically) ensures they can protect their brand and maintain a positive, welcoming experience for their shoppers.
