The shop is requesting a true "Pre-Order" feature that allows customers to pay upfront in full for an item before it physically arrives in inventory. This needs to be a distinct option from the existing "Pre-Auth" feature.

Why/how would it improve sales or efficiency?

This feature would allow shops to realize revenue immediately rather than waiting for inventory to arrive. More importantly, it secures the sale by preventing customers from canceling during the waiting, which is a current with the Pre-Auth system. For the buyer, it provides peace of mind knowing their exact quantity is fully locked in and secured ahead of time.
